Inspired by the metaphysical, Chrystal Chan creates mystical worlds filled with spiritual beings and gentle forest creatures. Layering each canvas with incredible depth and detail, Chan's work evokes dark, surreal narratives reminiscent of Grimm’s fairy tales. This Saturday marks the artist's return to Copro Gallery as she unveils a fresh collection of paintings that are part of a four person show with Mark Elliot, Genevieve Zacconi, and Ken Keirns. The new work continues Chan's exploration of the mysterious with each painting serving as a metaphor of the physical or supernatural universe. Take a peek below at a preview courtesy of the gallery, but be sure to view the work in person. Show runs through July 5th.
