On May 11th, Latvian artist Jana Brike returns to Distinction Gallery with a new body of work entitled 'Songs of Purity'. For Brike's latest collection, the artist dips her paintbrush in oils of soft blue, grey, pink, and white hues to create a series of emblematic “self portraits”. "Visualize yourself in a place where everything is resolved - there is no drama, there is no pain or hurt or relationship tangles, no fear and no problems.. and you are at home, and everything is pure. What would you do? What is YOUR purpose, beyond the struggle?", states Brike. "That is what I question. And live for."
