Laurie Lipton 'Techno Rococo' @ Ace Gallery Los Angeles
Currently on view at Ace Gallery in Los Angeles is the latest exhibition from Laurie Lipton entitled 'Techno Rococo'. In 'Techno Rococo', Lipton creates a dialogue between man and machine with her intricate graphite drawings thereby challenging the viewer to decide if modern technology is friend or foe.
“Techno Rococo presents a reflection on aspects of the 21st century,” such as industrialization, digital technology, mechanization, and connectedness.", states Lipton. "Technology has connected us, isolated us, freed, and enslaved us. It is evolving rapidly and will either save or destroy us.”
