On October 23rd, Stephanie Chefas Projects will debut its new space with an inaugural group exhibit aptly titled "Fresh Brew". This marks the beginning of our very own Stephanie Chefas' curatorial expansion into Portland. The exhibit will show an array of artwork from 20 unique contemporary artists. All have been selected for their innovative artistry and distinctive choice of media. Artists featured include Aaron Nagel, Bradley Platz, Brian Donnelly, Caleb Hahne, Christine Wu, David Ball, David Bray, Erin M Riley, Jeremy Nichols, Jesse Hazelip, Judith Supine, Ken Garduno, Max Kauffman, Meryl Pataky, Michael Alm, Paul Chatem, Peter Gronquist, Shawn Huckins, Souther Salazar, and Zoe Williams. "Fresh Brew" will embrace the gallery's aim to provide a platform for artists from all over the world. With years in the making, Stephanie Chefas Projects has passionately strived to support some of the biggest names in today's new contemporary art scene. Chefas' wholehearted dedication to the art world has shown throughout the years as founder of the online art publication Platinum Cheese and through her curatorial projects in the Los Angeles area and San Francisco. As Chefas embarks on this chapter in her ongoing curatorial adventures, we as art enthusiasts also get to enjoy the ride through refreshing artwork that the gallery will be featuring on a monthly basis.
"Fresh Brew" will open to the public on Friday. If you're in the Portland area, this is a must-see show and experience to enjoy with the curator and participating artists. In the meantime, take a look at a few preview images courtesy of the gallery.
