Martin Wittfooth and Jean Labourdette return to Roq La Rue Gallery this Thursday for "De Anima", a collaborative project exploring themes of dichotomy inherent in our present age. For this series, Wittfooth draws inspiration from the dynamics and behavior of modern society coupled with the wisdom achieved through experiencing plant-based psychedelics. Labourdette’s latest work reflects on the notion of Soul, granted or denied, and the forgotten and disregarded sense of a sacred unity with all things. In addition to their individual work, Wittfooth and Labourdette have created a striking triptych titled "Incantation" which highlights both artist's unique style while simultaneously showcasing their complimentary aesthetic. Take a peek at a few preview images, but be sure to make it a point to view the impressive works in person.
