Sneak Peek: PMM Art Projects presents Logan Hicks "Love Never Saved Anything"

On March 7th, New York-based artist Logan Hicks will present his second solo show with PMM Art Projects. This special pop-up exhibit, entitled "Love Never Saved Anything", will debut an ambitious collection including "nautical-based stencil paintings as well as photographs from his infamous urban explorations". Often presenting the urban environment through a powerfully contemplative lens, "Love Never Saved Anything" will have a much more personal touch, reflecting Hicks' life experiences throughout last year. His confrontation with challenges influenced his paintings to be inspired by underwater photography. Hicks explains, “The drifting, the weightlessness was how I felt internally. It seemed like the perfect way to capture what I was going through - adrift in a sea of uncertainty.” Incorporating the sea in his work only seems natural, so his new paintings will reference more nautical themes such as sailor traditions and superstitions. This show will also pay tribute to his street artist roots with a series of new photographs capturing forbidden urban locations and incredible vantage points. If you're in the Lower East Side, New York area, make sure not to miss out.

"Love Never Saved Anything" will be on view at 154 Stanton St New York, NY 10002. Take a look at some images via the gallery below.
