Luke Pelletier 'If It Floats' @ New Image Art

Luke Pelletier returns to New Image Art Gallery this August for his second exhibit titled If It Floats, the artist's most developed and ambitious body of work to date. Much of Pelletier's art blurs the lines between celebrating and condemning a culture that agrees to be taken advantage of while it takes advantage of others. His art is filled with quirky personal anecdotes, dark humor, dualities, contradictions, repetition, and scenes of fetishized paradise. If It Floats continues to play upon the artist's own moral dilemmas with romance, objectification, labor, tourist culture, and Americana.
