1010 'Eversion' @ Hashimoto Contemporary

This November, 1010 returns to Hashimoto Contemporary for his second solo with the gallery entitled 'Eversion'. For his latest show, the Hamburg based artist presents over a dozen portals, each serving as its own tear in time and space. To achieve his signature three dimensional effect, 1010 paints layers of acrylic glass and mounts them to aluminum dibond. Delicately air-brushed shadows activate the geometric apparitions, playing with and challenging the lighting of the room. The result is a stunning work of art taking on a life of its own.
