On September 6th, Joshua Liner Gallery presented 'A Word is Worth a Thousand Pictures', the first New York exhibit in seven years by Stephen Powers. 'A Word is Worth a Thousand Pictures' includes a panoramic assemblage of paintings that occupy the entire span of the gallery and displays a multitude of enamel on aluminum paintings, ranging from 10 x 8 inches to 8 x 16 feet. Known for public artworks that fuse sign painting and graffiti with witty banter, Powers successfully translates his outdoor friendly aesthetic indoors with his latest exhibit.
Take a look of some images courtesy of Juxtapoz, but be sure to view the works in person if you're in New York. Show runs until September 29th.
