For this show, I used food as a visual metaphor to symbolize how dangers are hidden, and how we don’t see them coming until it is too late. Internally Yours represents the idea of confinement, submission and eternity. Sometimes, we find ourselves in situations we don’t want to be in. It feels like the world has swallowed us up whole. ~ Nouar
Internally Yours marks Nouar's most innovative body of work to date. Inspired by her contribution in Corey Helford's 2009 group exhibit The Multi-Plane Show, Nouar will present three dimensional works of sugary sweets and gelatin dessert molds wrapped in retro Pop! hues.
