Currently on view at CURIO is a group exhibition curated by Jacob Arden McClure entitled 'Sea of Blasphemy'. Featuring the works of Bill McRight, Ben Venom, Bonne Brenda Scott, and Jon Bocksel, the exhibit explores modern day society's acceptance of violence, profanity, and taboo. From McRight's work reminiscent of prison shanks, to the psychedelic surfaces of Bonnie Brenda Scott, to Ben Venom's outsider textile rendering and Jon Bocksel's edgy yet informal text design, these artists are revealing surprisingly vibrant, thoughtful, and even humorous narratives in the form of art.
