This Saturday, LeBasse Projects will play host to the reemergence of TrustoCorp with the debut of 'The Future is Blight', a solo show of provocative new work by the guerilla art group. Known for their bold, highly produced street art of meticulously fabricated billboards, subway signs and complex sculptural objects, TrustoCorp seeks to point out the follies of contemporary society and politics. Though entertaining and humorous, their art highlights topical, hard-hitting issues that unabashedly criticize and help draw attention to the ills of humanity. For 'The Future is Blight', the group takes on a more subtle approach with sculpture, paintings, works on paper and prints. The topic tackled for this exhibition will be a social commentary on the city of Los Angeles and its dichotomy of poverty and wealth: Rodeo Drive versus Skid Row.
