Intellectual Property Prints has once again teamed up with another talent to bring us an original work of art. Inspired by the culture of her hometown, Los Angeles native Darcy Yates associates color and shape with emotions when creating her pieces. By combining the figurative with geometric elements, Yates' work is gritty and colorful while simultaneously conveying the essence of soul and imagination. Recently released is "Outlaw Love", a hand pulled screen print in hues of red, black, and a greenish gold. Part of the subject's face is comprised of geometric patterns with two of the shapes placed strategically for eyes, while the other half is covered in what could be a red bandanna. The result is a graphically stunning piece of work.
