The Philadelphia-based artist Yis Goodwin, aka Nosego, debuted a new body of work last Saturday, in which he displays his talent as a fine artist, illustrator, and street artist. His loud imagery combines whimsical depictions with impeccable portrayals of powerful animals. Nosego's paintings are visually explosive, yet refined in style. His renditions stimulate our senses with bright colors and a playful variation of detail. Nosego combines the illustrative with the realistic to reference the "human" within the animal. His surreal representations, although illogical, entice us and transport us into his incredible imagination. The energy that runs through his work conveys a limitless imagination fueled by genius.
