Hi.

Welcome to the latest art to emerge from the contemporary visionaries as seen through the eyes of Platinum Cheese.

Marco Mazzoni "White Days" @ Gallery B15

A modern master of chiaroscuro through color pencils, the work of Marco Mazzoni is utterly enchanting and yet seductively haunting. His dreamlike snapshots of faces flooded in an incandescent light, as if in an overexposed photograph, are often encircled by sumptuous flora and fauna. In Mazzoni's latest exhibit at Gallery B12 in Denmark, the artist continues his exploration of the ancient myths of feminine power with a collection of new moleskine drawings and his largest work to date titled "Pietas". The tryptic is a reinterpretation of Michaelangelo's sculptural masterpiece "Pieta", but unlike the Renaissance work, the death in Mazzoni's drawing references a return to nature. "White Days" will be on view through March 26th at Gallery B15. Be sure to check out the works in person if you’re in the area. For those unable to visit, enjoy a few images of the exhibit below.
